- Calhoun, 1892. View of Court Street looking toward the east. Note the snow. The Gordon County Courthouse completed in 1889, is seen in the middle. Racket Store at left was a ten cent store. The tall building in the right background is the H.H. Doughty Building located at the corner of Court and Wall Streets. It was built in 1892 by W. Laurens Hillhouse and still stands. The Simpson Building is next to it and is today occupied by the Chamber of Commerce.
