- Description:
- Gordon County, ca. 1880's-1890's?. Unidentified men in front of the Oothcaloga Mill which was located on Oothcaloga Creek on Ga. Highway 53 west of Calhoun. It was built ca. 1850 by J.P. King. Over the years it had many owners. The mill may have survived the Civil War. If it was damaged it was rebuilt. Data on this point is unclear. In later years the mill was known as Coley's Mill and Logan's Mill reflecting its owner. About 1955 the mill was demolished.
