- Description:
- Calhoun, before 1977. Home of W.L. Hines located on North Wall Street. The home was called "Oakleigh." It is said that this was the birthplace of the Calhoun Woman's Club which was organized in 1902 with Mrs. W.L. Hines as its first president. The Arthur Lewis family resided here for many years. The home was demolished in 1977 to make way for a Southern Bell Telephone Co. building.
