- New Echota, 1920. Reputed to be the grave of Chief Pathkiller, principal chief of the Cherokee Nation until his death in 1827. It is located in the cemetery for those living in New Echota. In 1825 New Echota was designated the capital of the Cherokee Nation. It is located northeast of Calhoun.
