2003/06/13: According to Gordon County Courthouse, located online at http://www.cviog.uga.edu/Projects/gainfo/courthouses/gordonCH.htm, this courthouse was built in 1889 after Gordon County's first courthouse, completed in 1852, was destroyed by a storm in 1888.
