- Description:
- Gordon County, ca. 1920. Coley's Mill which was located on Oothcaloga Creek on Georgia Highway 53 west of Calhoun. It was built ca. 1850 by J.P. King. Over the years it had many owners. The mill may have survived the Civil War. If it was damaged it was rebuilt. Data on this point is unclear. The mill in its early years was known as Oothcaloga Mill. Later on it was called Logan's Mill which reflected another of its many owners. About 1955 the mill was demolished.
