- Brunswick, ca. 1900. Lover's Oak located at Albany and Dartmouth Streets was a romantic spot toward the turn of the century. The fence was added in 1888.
2003/06/18: This oak tree is said to be over 900 years old; its trunk is 3 ft. above the ground and is 13 ft. in diameter. The tree got its name after a Native American folk tale, which tells of the unrequited love of a maiden for a man. The tree supposedly served as their meeting place. - External Identifiers:
