- Atlanta, April 1, 1980. Mantel in the hallway of the William Perrin Nicolson family home located at 821 Piedmont Avenue. The home was built ca. 1890. The tiles and relief work are original.
2003/06/12: The William Perrin Nicolson House is located at 821 Piedmont Avenue, N.E. William Perrin Nicolson was an Atlanta physician and dean of the Southern Medical College. He was also one of the founders of the Southern Dental College, president of the Atlanta Academy of Medicine and the Medical Association of Georgia, and American College of Surgeons fellow. The house was designed by architect William T. Downing and built in 1892. It remained in the possession of the Nicholson family until 1982. The house is currently a bed and breakfast called the Shellmont Inn. - External Identifiers:
