- Roswell, 1920. Great Oaks located on Mimosa Boulevard was built in 1842 as the home of Reverend and Mrs. Nathaniel Alpheus Pratt. It was constructed of bricks made from local clay and built with slave labor. Reverend Pratt was the minister of the Presbyterian Church in Roswell from 1840 until his death in 1879. The home has passed down over the years through the women in the Pratt, Heath, Merrill, and Rushin families.
