2003/06/02: The Flatiron Building was also called the English-American Building. It was built in 1897 and is the oldest skyscraper in Atlanta. It was designed by Bradford Gilbert and pre-dates more famous Flatiron Building. It is currently owned by Historic Urban Equities Limited. The Candler Building is a tribute to Asa G.
