2003/06/02: The Hebrew Orphan's Home was originally called the Hebrew Orphan's Asylum. In 1901, the name was changed to the Hebrew's Orphan Home. The residence facility was open from 1876 to 1930. The service began to be used to place foster children in homes and was called The Jewish Children Services. In 1988, the name of the organization was changed again to the Jewish Educational Loan Fund. - External Identifiers:
