- Franklin County, Jan. 25, 1954. The first Knox Bridge was a covered wooden structure built by Colonel Samuel Knox and designed by Colonel Bowman in 1854. It was destroyed by fire in the early 1950s. A second Knox Bridge can be seen here after a light rain.
