- Franklin County, 1909. Members are gathered in front of the Nails Creek Baptist Church just after completion. The old wooden structure is located to the left in the background. A trough nailed to a tree and a buggy can be seen also. The church is located on Georgia Highway 51 in the western part of the county. It was possibly the first church in this area of Georgia and was established in 1787.
