- Franklin County, 1906-1909. A crew constructing the Nails Creek Baptist Church which was finished in 1909. Members of the congregation made the bricks and erected the building. The old wooden structure is located to the left. The church is located on Georgia Highway 51 in the western part of the county. It was possibly the first church in this area of Georgia and was established in 1787.
