- "Mineral Bluff, ca. 1915. Mineral Bluff Bank. Mineral Bluff Bank Building. Bank closed in 1918. John V. Walker was president and lived in Sparta, Ga. John lost most all his money in this bank. Close to twenty-thousand dollars. Because the banks president skipped with the money and John was a large stockholder. Anderson second man front left John Washington. Mason hall was upstairs."--from field notes
