- Emanuel County. Home of Albert N. Durden located seven miles east of Swainsboro. The kitchen and dining room date from before the Civil War. The front part of the home dates from 1868-1872. The post office serving Kilburn was operated from the back porch 1890-1900. Left to right: Bruno, the dog, Fannie Ethel Durden Farmer (Mrs. Matthew Silas), Eliza Jane Brinson Durden (Mrs. Albert Neal), Mollie L. Durden, Matthew Silas Farmer.
