- Elberton, 1905. Home of William Oscar Jones (1861-1931) located on College Avenue. In 1905 William E. Wallis, a local contractor, renovated the home as is seen in this photograph. Mr. Jones had banking and railroad interests, served as mayor, and was active in many civic projects.
