- Grady County, ca. 1920s. Sylvanus Abner Perkins (1847-1928) was known as "Uncle Perk." During the Civil War he served with Co. I, 3d Regiment Georgia Reserves. He entered the service at age eighteen. He is buried near Cairo, Ga.
