- Climax, ca. 1945-1948. Side view of the residence of Earl Hester, built in the 1850s, is seen here from the yard looking toward the east. The similarity to the farmhouse at nearby Curry Hill Plantation can be explained by the fact that it was built by Duncan Curry's brother, Calvin.
