- Bainbridge, 1965. First African Baptist Church located at 515 Webster Street. Building for the church was begun in August 1904 under the pastorate of N.B. Williamson, D.D. The church was completed in 1909 under the pastorate of G.B. Davis, D.D. The building committee consisted of C.P. Wilson, W.F. Thornton, T.H. Bynes, J.R. Thornton, G.R. Hutto, Gus Robinson, A. Guy, and Asa Reynolds. The church was originally located downtown near Shotwell and Washington Streets and was moved to Webster Street. The sign in the front of the church advertises its 100th anniversary.
