- near Bainbridge, ca. 1900. Front view of "Lingerlong," located on the Flint River just west of Bainbridge off of what is now U.S. Highway 84. "Lingerlong" was a private home that served as a favorite gathering spot for many citizens in the country. It was built by Mr. Caldwell and possessed a swimming pool and a ballroom where orchestras often played for dances.
