- near Climax, 1940s. Front view of the farmhouse at Curry Hill Plantation looking toward the south. The farmhouse was begun in 1842 and was built by slaves. The kitchen is the one-story room at the right, which was added on in the early 1900s. The plantation is located six miles east of Bainbridge and two miles west of Climax. It was listed on the National Resgister of Historic Places in 1973 because it typified a historical South Georgia farm.
2003/01/21: The historical marker is located about 6 miles east of Bainbridge on U.S. Highway 84. - External Identifiers:
