- near Climax, 1940s. View of Curry Hill Plantation as seen from behind the cow barn. The plantation is located six miles east of Bainbridge and two miles west of Climax. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, because it typified a historical South Georgia farm. The farmhouse, begun in 1842, was built by slaves.
