- Description:
- Savannah, ca. 1875. Green-Meldrim House located on Bull Street at Madison Square. It was built for Charles Green, a cotton merchant, between 1850 and 1861. General William T. Sherman used the house as his headquarters when Union forces occupied Savannah during the Civil War. In 1892, it was acquired by Judge Peter W. Meldrim. In 1943, St. John's Episcopal Church acquired it for use as a parish house.
