- Description:
- Savannah, ca. 1875. Plantation home of Henry McAlpine known as The Hermitage. It may have been designed by Charles B. Cluskey of Savannah and is in Greek Revival style. McAlpine operated a brickiln at The Hermitage and produced bricks known as "Savannah Greys." The Hermitage has been demolished and today Union Camp Paper Corp. occupies the site.
