- Savannah, ca. 1900. Interior of Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences located at 121 Barnard Street. This mansion designed by William Jay for Alexander Telfair, son of Governor Edward Telfair, was completed in 1820. In 1875 it was willed to Georgia Historical Society to be used as a museum. Thus, the Academy was established.
