- Savannah, 1955. Savannah Police Department. Said to be first uniformed meter readers. Standing left to right are Ann Cody, Isabelle Linton, Sarah Haris, and Adelaide Ryan. Note that the uniforms were issued by Chief Fortson, and were men's top coats. The skirts were made from men's uniform pants.
