- Colquitt County, late 1960s. Governor Lester Maddox speaking at the dedication of Reed Bingham State Park, held at the new Visitors' Center located at the dam and spillway on Little River. This river forms the border between Colquitt County and Cook County and the park is located on the river above Georgia Highway 37. Seated behind the governor, left to right: Dorsey Matthews, State Representative from Colquitt County, 1959-1978; a county commissioner from Cook County; Ford Spinks, State Senator from Tifton; Billy Fallin, State Representative from District 63, Colquitt, Cook, and Tift Counties; Grover Patton, State Representative from Cook County; C.
