- Moultrie, June 25, 1909. Carnegie Library, located at 39 North Main Street, is said to be the oldest free standing building in Colquitt County. Property for the building was acquired by Moultrie in 1907, and the bids were received and construction was started later that year. The building was occupied on April 27, 1908 and remained as a public library until November 1, 1964 when it began being used for law offices.
