- "Villa Rica, Jan. 1938. Interior of J. L. Doyal and Son, a store. The store location was the southwest corner of Carrollton Hwy (#61) and Montgomery Street (Hwy #78). It opened in 1924. It operated until 1941, then it operated as E. T. Doyal & Sons for over sixty-two years. The business was owned by John L. Doyle and his son Emmett T. Doyal. Left to right: Emmett Doyal (August 24, 1899-December 26, 1982); Herman Newell (July 19, 1912-April 18, 1976); John Leonard Doyal (August 9, 1878-April 30, 1941)."--from field notes
