- "Bowdon, 1860-1900. William Thomas Johnson Store, referred to as Masonic Lodge Hall. Lodge was upstairs, and downstairs was used for commercial purposes. It was located on the south side of the business district at the corner of Wedowee and College Streets. Built in 1860 and replaced with a brick structure in 1900. The stores records are on film (ac75-074). This picture was copied from Mrs. Kate Goldin's copy at Bowdon Bulletin 1977. It was Masonic Lodge no. 206, and R.M. Lovvorn was the Worshipful Master."--from field notes
