- near Temple, 1908. Demonstration Corn Club members pose for a photograph in front of demonstration corn crop. The corn field was located on Woodlawn Farm, owned by John Wesley Brooks, where Long Branch and Villa Rica Roads intersect. Mr. Brooks is seen in the center of the photograph. He is holding a cane and a corn tassel. Samuel Mark Cown, county agent, is wearing a white straw hat. It is said that he was the first county agent in the state.
