- Waynesboro, ca. 1950. Group of riders in horseback poses for a photograph at the field trials. Waynesboro became famous for being the "Bird Dog Capital of the World". The fourth man from the left (wearing the cap) is Tyrus "Ty" Raymond Cobb (1886-1951). He was a professional baseball player for 22 years played for the Detroit Tigers of the American League.
