- Description:
- Jackson County, 1911. Members of Davidson Lodge No. 103, Free and Accepted Masons pose for a photograph outside their lodge. The group was organized in 1887 and chartered in 1889. It was named for John S. Davidson of Augusta, who was very active in the Masons in Georgia. The lodge was built in a rural area three miles northeast of Winder. At the time this land was part of Jackson County. It was not until July 7, 1914 that Barrow County was created.
