- Description:
- Winder, ca. 1910. Sharpton Opera House, located on Broad Street, was built in 1906. In 1916 a new theatre was built across the street. The Sharpton Opera House was then temporarily used as the Barrow County Courthouse until the new courthouse was completed in 1920. Sanders Furniture Co. now occupies the building.
2003/02/28: There is still a Sanders Funiture in Winder. Its location is on Athens Street, so it would seem that the company no longer occupies the building. - External Identifiers:
