- Barrow County, May 12, 1948. View of some of the activities conducted as part of the Master Soil and Water Conservation Field Day held on the farms of Marion Carlyle and Ernest Blakely. Over 600 farmers and volunteers working on 186 acres transformed the worn-out eroded farms into modern soil-conserving model farms. Thousands of people came to watch.
