- Macon, 1877. The spring house at the home of William Butler Johnston, located at 934 Georgia Ave. Johnston had architect James B. Ayres build an adaptation of an Italian villa for his wife. Home was built in 1855-1860. In 1925, P.L. Hay purchased the home. Today it is open to the public.
