- Macon, 1877. Bridge over the Ocmulgee River. Sign reads "Keep Well to the Right & Pass the Bridge at a Walk - Under Penalty of the Law." Note the walkways for pedestrians at either side of the main passage. A wagon can be seen at the far end of the bridge.
