- Milledgeville, early 1970s. Williams-Jones-Ferguson house was built in 1818 by Peter Jones Williams. It is located at Washington and Liberty Streets. The columns are solid tree trunks. This is one of the earliest houses built in Milledgeville. Slave labor was used to construct it. It is sometimes called "The Homestead."
