One story Greek Revival style cottage of brick with attic featuring a portico with entablature and pediment supported by slender paired Doric columns. The entrance is framed by sidelights and a fanlight transom. A large oval nine-pane window is centered in the pediment. The building was built just after the Civil War for R. L. Warthen Law Office. In 1931 it was remodeled to become a library, according to plans by Miss Louise Irwin. For more information see Linley, John. Architecture of Middle Georgia: the Oconee Area.
