- Description:
- Located at: 205 LaFayette Avenue, Eatonton, Ga.
Two-story Greek Revival home, constructed primarily of wood, featuring a portico which only appears to be supported by four Corinthian columns. The portico is actually supported by a system of cantilevered bracing extending from the superstructure. The capitols are hand carved. Tradition holds that the house was built by Italian migrants rather than slave labor, and that the ornate plaster moldings and medallions were fashioned by Italian craftsmen.
