Two-story wood frame house with hipped roof, featuring a brick stoop with portico supported by paired Corinthian columns. The double door entrance features a transom with the house's original name, Cedar Hall, etched into it. The house was originally a four room cottage. Jeff D. Irwin remodeled the house completely in 1898, adding the second story and a larger Victorian porch. His daughter Louise remodeled the house again in 1955 in the Georgian colonial style. Architects for remodelling were Gude in 1898 and Elliot W. Dunwoody, Jr. in 1955. For more information see Linley, John. Architecture of Middle Georgia: the Oconee Area.
