Three-story brownstone building on a brick foundation with a metal roof which was built as a dentist's office, featuring arched Italianate windows with decorative glass panels. The original second story cast iron balcony has been removed, but the supportive console stone brackets remain. Built by Dr. Emerson, a dentist from New Hampshire, the building was later occupied by Dr. W. P. Holmes and later by his son, Dr. W. B. Holmes, dentists. Rear rooms on second floor were used as offices by Dr. Emerson, and the third floor as his living quarters. The building has been used continuously as dental offices. Later, it also became the office of Dennis & Dennis Architects. Stores occupy the first story. Builders probably came from Italy. For more information see Linley, John.
