View of Chapel in winter. Built in 1832, the building has a temple form with a modified Greek hexastyle portico. The columns of the portico are fluted, and there are corner pilasters. Originally, a square tower was located over the vestibule, but a scaffold type bell tower replaced it prior to 1935. For more information, see Linley, John. The Georgia catalog, Historic American Buildings Survey: a guide to the architecture of the state. Athens, Ga.: University of Georgia Press, c1982, p. 264.
