Built in 1856 by William Suther, the wood frame antebellum Greek Revival cottage features a classic gable with raking cornice and entablature supported by four Doric columns. The front rooms and hall also contain plaster cornices and medallions. Since the purchase of the home by Ben Hume, the rear of the house has been modernized by architect Jules Gray.
