The rectangular one-story church has a gable roof and a Gibbes-type steeple with a granite tower, a three-stage octagonal wooden belfry, and an octagonal spire. The church burned in 1889 and was rebuilt from measured drawings of the original building, done by W. G. Preston, architect for the rebuilding. The original church was of frame construction.
