French Gothic cathedral of stuccoed brick with twin spire bell towers. The oldest Roman Catholic Church in Georgia, it was dedicated in 1876. Though it was destroyed by fire in 1898, it was rebuilt according to the original plans of architect Francis Baldwin. The interior is decorated with Italian marble, Austrian stained glass and Persian rugs.
