Built in the 1890s as a cotton exchange, the large triangular-shaped brick building with arched openings is part of the Athens Warehouse historic district. The structure has been renovated into a multi-use development by Maxwell Properties of Atlanta. Douglas H. Meyer and Mrs. Martha D. Meyer were the president and vice-president of Farmers Hardware.
