Three story hotel of white washed brick, featuring square Beaux-Arts towers on the corners and a colonade on the third floor with balcony. There is also a balcony on the side of the building, and both balconies are decorated with Beaux-Arts floral designs. The second floor balcony is of iron. The original hotel was two stories and features Italianate windows. The hotel became the Baldwin Hotel in 1903 when Mrs. Oliver Hardy, mother of the famous comedian, arrived to manage it. A third floor was added in 1908. In 1910, the proprietor was Mrs. Emmie Jackson.
