Located on Monterey Square, the three-story brick town house with high basement features Beaux Arts trim. The first story portico is topped by a second-floor bay and third-floor balcony. The basement houses the Skeffington Realty Co. The house shares the portico with the house next to it. Originally built in 1869 for Daniel J. Purse, former Savannah mayor, and Daniel Thomas, the houses were renovated and added to in 1897. Number 12 is also known as the Thomas Levy house and now houses V & J Duncan Antique Prints.
